State owned Telco – BSNL known for its consumer friendly plans has gone Evil [maybe under the influence of Private operators lobby who started the bandwidth cap] BSNL Dataone Broadband has introduced two new unlimited plans, designed much on the lines of Bharti Airtel’s new broadband plans and has gone far ahead of Airtel in capping bandwidth limit. BSNL is offering 1 Mbps speed for the first 25 and 50 Gigs only in the newly launched high speed plans.
Until now BSNL was not a part of the private Telcos Lobby started by Airtel, Reliance and Tata Indicom in restricting bandwidth. But for sure the officials in the power corridors have filled their private coffers to put the consumers at the receiving end. I don’t think BSNL can ever get anything right with such solid infrastructure [900 MHz Wireless Spectrum, Largest Wireline network for DSL, etc] and yet ends up losing the market.
Worldwide, Telcos which are mere utility providers just can’t tolerate that innovative application and VAS providers make a moolah. Lets hope impartial regulators will wake up to this issue sooner.
hey man there is no such news on BSNL site, even I 1st see these plans on Sify ! guess it’s fake one ! if BSNL does it , atleast that will be on BSNL website !
Not all plans are Published on the Website. I can give at least 25 Plans of Airtel being served to customers in Bangalore which are not / nor ever published on Website 🙂
Check your e-mail I have sent the Scanned Document of BSNL Plans.
But can you show us any plans of BSNL which are being given to customers but not on their websites. BSNL being a govt. company doesn’t indulge in such practices. Please send me those scanned documents to my email id also. Thanks in advance !
