Google SEO / Webmaster = Classical Spam Promotion Tools – Search Experience Sucks

As you may have read earlier, I normally don’t take extreme opinion like “Google Search Experience Sucks”, but it has gotten to a point where users including me are desperately looking for an alternative and hence the extreme wordings.

Google Search Core is increasingly targeted by Spammers and Google Crawlers seems to have lost its way.

Over the weekend, I was spending time on my Hobby in that context queried Google – “How to get antique license in India”. The first Results is nothing but classical case of Spam. Now being acquainted with White Collar Webmaster skills, I sat down to investigate the matter. The link is from a classifieds site and is no Article or a Blog Post explaining on Antiques or Antique licenses in India.

Have a look at the Screenshot and the Quality of Content returned by Google for “I’m feeling Lucky” 😉

A close examination of the URL – http://pune.quikr.com/license-for-antique-dealers-india-All/license-for-antique-dealers-india/x33 suggests Quikr is using Google Webmaster Tools which gives them access to “Keywords” with which visitors are landing to their website. Quikr will also have a query log using which they do SEO which is nothing but spam in this case 🙂 I’m sure Quikr will have Millions of such Fake Pages, Google Quality Engineers can very well enlighten us.

A friend of mine new in town asked me where is RC Puram. I told him Google for it hoping he will get Maps and Directions. But what he got was a Place in Andhra Pradesh. Then I went and Googled myself only to see Redbus.in having created Spam Pages for RC Puram to Bangalore ticket booking and Ranking High on Google Search Engine.

In the Picture above you will be able to see how Rebus.in has created Spam Links under the heading “Popular Bus Routes”. Why is Google appreciating and and returning pages with so many links instead of Penalizing the Same ?

In my opinion, Google SEO Tricks / Tips is to be blamed for the Spam we are seeing on the Web. I have written to Search Quality Analysts to Stop considering URL in Rank but in vain as Webamsters use Apache / Web Server Tricks to fool Google and Rank Higher.
Proof for the Same – In Illustration 1, if you truncate the URL to http://pune.quikr.com/license-for-antique-dealers-india-All/license-for-antique-dealers-india/ you will see all together different page – most likely their 404. Thus I believe Google has every reason to demote URL based Page Ranking.

Google on its Official Blog claims how they are rewarding high quality sites. So according to Google, Quikr and Redbus are high quality Websites 😉 Yandex! waiting for you to rollout in Americas and Asia.
