State owned MTNL which saw negative growth in Wireline/Landline subscribers is bucking the trend now. MTNL is adding Landline subscribers mainly because of their ADSL broadband services in Delhi and Mumbai.
Mumbai has more than 10 good ISPs but MTNL with huge copper network has the ability to reach corners of Mumbai, unlike Bharti Airtel which arrogantly refuses to server in parts of Bangalore. Value added services like IPTV, Video on Demand and Gaming are also contributing to the additions of Wireline subscribers. MTNL is working on bundling all its services including Wireless into a single offering.
even after having such a good,already established network these government
companies are losing market to private companies like bharti etc only coz of their policies and their employees
