I am wondering what makes the Government officials lazy and copy cats when they have virtually unlimited resources at their disposable to be creative.
Few years ago, it was BSNL with its punchline “Connecting India” directly copied from Nokia’s – “Connecting People”. Nokia wants to do business in India and is probably aware of the consequences because BSNL is directly under the control of IT & Communications Ministry.
Just few days ago, DoT released India Broadband 2007 Ad with punchline – “Linking India” a copy of my blog’s punchline “linking diversity!”. You can see DoT’s logo here. Sux to be DoT. Also read about BSNL’s Business Broadband, a true FRAUDBAND Service!!!

Creativity and DoT sounds like an oxymoron to me. Hope the Indians and the Indian government understand the difference between free speech and copyrights else it will end up like China and one day US and the rest of the world including the WTO will shamefully paint India as pirates of the 21st century.
This is what I keep telling you folks, it has to start from us the citizens who care else we can never lead into the 21st century.
