Their is good news to Airtel Broadband subscribers if you like Google and its web services. Google will power Airtel Broadband subscribers E-mail, Search, Chat and Personalized homepage. [Not very clear if the entire Google Apps will be made available to Airtel Broadband subscribers] Google will readily get 0.63 Million Gmail users 🙂
Bharti Airtel President, Mr. Atul Bindal said,
The company will provide customised home page to customers to give them a new internet experience. E-commerce applications will also be added to the suite in a period of time.
I am a great admirer of Google Products and was one of the early testers for Google Apps. Reliance Broadband is already offering these services as a package [includes anti-virus] at some cost though I am not aware of the performance and overall satisfaction of customers. Who will Tata Indicom Broadband and BSNL DataOne Broadband vie for partnership with – Microsoft Live or Yahoo! ? Here is our review of Microsoft Live Domains against Google Apps. Yahoo! didn’t offer free hosted e-mail and other apps at that time.
