Every city is planning / deploying an ambitious Wi-Fix / WiMax project. Their was limited Wireless connectivity during BangaloreIT.In. However, this time, Bangalore has taken the lead yet again by going for a soft launch next week which will be extended further.
M N Vidyashankar, IT Secretary, Government of Karnataka, said
We are planning to take IT industry captains and media in and around M G Road in an open bus in second week of April. A wide screen will be attached to a laptop and we carry out live demo of the connectivity.
US based Arasor and BSNL are providing the necessary infrastructure.
