TRAI invites suggestions on DTH

Even though it has been a couple of years since DTH [a.k.a Dish TV] has been launched in India, TRAI wants your expert suggestions now. TRAI specifically wants to know about,

  • Interconnection issues – Standardizations and provision of access to broadcasters
  • Quality of Standards – TRAI is wondering if it can fix the same standards as it has for Telcos.
  • Interoperability of Set Top boxes – TRAI wants to know if Set Top boxes should be made interoperable technically or commercially ?

I would suggest that you drop a line to Mr. R N Chuobey [Advisor – TRAI rnchoubey@rediffmail.com or Fax: +91-11-23220442] asking TRAI to make the Set Top boxes technically interoperable as we have already seen the fate of Mobile handsets with CDMA service providers in India.
