Since several days, I wanted to cover about the Social Networking space in India and finally the ET article has trigerred me to write this. Hindustan Lever Limited which has tasted some success with social networking site SunsilkGangofGirls, may take the model global. Fair enough 🙂 However, from the article, I am a bit skeptical about the Page View figures mentioned 12-13 Million / Month. Take a look at the following graph obtained from Alexa. Graph suggests that, in the past one month, MingleBox is clearly leading the pack of Indian social networking sites and it leads by margin of 2x to 3x times over SunsilkGangofGirls. I communicated with MingleBox just a while ago and based on the data furnished, I am a bit reluctant to accept GangOfGirls having 12-13 million page views a month. What do you think ? Am I wrong somewhere or time to talk to GangofGirls 😉 I mean the web admin @ Gang of Girls.
